COVID-19 : Oyo lawmaker distributes food stuff, face masks to constituent

A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Ogbomoso North State Constituency, Olawunmi Oladeji, has distributed thousands of food stuff as palliatives to cushion the effect of COVID-19 in her constituency.

Oladeji who visited market places, stalls, shops, households spent time sensitizing the people on the importance of social distancing, regular washing of hands and gave over 2,000 face mask.

She encouraged them to use the face masks often as a way to protect themselves and to curb the spread of COVID-19.

While speaking at Masifa area, Oja Igbo, Oja jagun, Osaro, Oja aroo, Attender, Oja waso in sabo, Idi Abebe and Osupa all under her constituency, she noted that the distribution of the food stuff was targeted at the elderly, children and poorest of the poor.

Oladeji who assured that everyone that the state government was making efforts to curtail the spread of the virus, emphasised the need for people to obey all the directives of government in the fight against Coronavirus.

“I want to appeal to you all to observe the policy of social distancing; coronavirus is real and we all must stay safe. If you have no business outside, stay at home and stay safe,” she said.

Some of the beneficiaries of the palliatives lauded the lawmaker for her support to the people and prayed that God would continue to bless her.
