The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has warned Computer-Based Test, CBT, centre owners that it would not tolerate any infractions that would negatively impact its image or that of its examinations.
The infractions which the board is warning the centre owners against are contained in its operational code.
The warning was issued in a statement released at the end of its management committee meeting held to assess the conduct of the 2022 UTME.
The statement reads in part: “The Board is not here to subordinate the interest of Nigeria to any other interests. JAMB would, therefore, not tolerate any infraction, no matter how small. If the tempo of JAMB activities is too high for any centre, they are to at liberty seek other areas of engagement as there are so many things people can do outside partnering with JAMB.”
The board said the CBT centre owners should ensure full compliance with extant rules and regulations in their dealings with it.
According to the board, there would be no hiding place for any wrongdoer.
Centre owners or other fraudulent elements, JAMB also warned should steer clear of the board’s examination as it had state-of-the-art technology at its disposal to detect any infractions committed before, during and after the UTME.
It enjoined centres to be of good conduct or be disengaged forthwith.
