The governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has clinched the All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket to contest the October 10 gubernatorial election in the state.
He was announced the winner of the primary election organised by the committee chaired by Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
Akeredolu polled a total of 2,458 votes to defeat Olusola Oke who came second with 262 votes.
lsaacs Kekemeke polled 19 votes.
Before the election, four of those who had shown interest in the ticket of the party stepped down of Akeredolu.
They are Jimi Odimayo, Nathaniel Adojutelegan, Ife Oyedele and Abraham Olusegun.
