The police have arrested one 23 years old Stella Peter for stabbing her husband, Bala Haruna, to death over his refusal to release the money for the one year birthday party of their daughter.
She was arrested on Tuesday.
The two of them live at 2 Tejuosho Avenue, Surulere Lagos.
According to a statement by the spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana, an argument was said to have ensued between them which turned violent and the woman used a kitchen knife to stab the man in the back.
The stabbing was said to have led to the death of the husband.
The suspect was said to have confessed to committing the crime.
In another case, acting on credible intelligence, detectives from Ilemba Hausa Division have arrested two suspects, 25 years old Gidion Amuzie and 25 years old Godspower Imafidon, over alleged case of robbery.
The police recovered one black Honda Accord 2007 model from the duo who are of Satellite Town, Lagos.
They were reported to have hidden the car at Jemilugba Street, Ilogbo, Lagos.
“The suspects specialise in snatching vehicles from the owners or stealing the vehicles from where they are parked.
“They confessed that they stole the vehicle at a car wash in satellite town Lagos. Investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court,” police spokesman said.
