Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has ordered that the allocation of shops at the Ultra-modern Oja Oba Market, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State be stopped immediately.

The order followed the discovery of some structural defects which would need to be fixed.

According to the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, the defects said to have made the building unsafe, were noted during an inspection of the project by the governor.

Noting that the correction of the defects would take some time, the governor said all subscribers with proofs of payment for shops in the market should be refunded.

The Ministries of Works and Commerce, it was said, would work out a seamless process for the refund.
