Former Flying Eagles invitee, Rilwan Salawu, has vowed to give his all to his club, Atlanta SC, saying that the president of the club has presented himself as an uncle.

In addition, he said, he planned to grow as a professional and make a success of his career.

Salawu made the vow in an interview with FrontPage.

His words: “It’s a new experience for me. Though it is my first month here in Atlanta SC, the president of the club in our first meeting established himself as an uncle figure to me which makes me want to give my all to the club.

“Meanwhile my target is to win because no one remembers a loser and continue to grow as a professional in this beautiful game of football.”

Salawu who had played in Ghana, Denmark, Turkey and Central America spoke about his sources of inspiration too.

The duo, he said, were Nigeria’s Austin Okocha and Ghana’s Stephen Appiah.

Salawu said: “The two African legends I get my inspiration from are Okocha and Appiah.

“My foot work skill is from Okocha while my physical play is from the Ghana Black Stars skipper, Appiah.”
