The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted dust haze and partly cloudy weather conditions over most parts of the country with prospect of thundery activities over some southern cities on Saturday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Friday in Abuja predicted dust haze condition over the central states with day and night temperatures of 29 to 36 and 13 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
It also predicted that the central cities would have visibility range of two to five kilometres and localised of less than or equal to 1000m.
The agency predicted that Northern states would experience dust haze condition with visibility range of two to five kilometres and localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000m.
It further predicted that the region would experience day and night temperatures in the ranges of 28 to 34 and 10 to 18 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, Southern states would experience partly cloudy to cloudy morning over the inland and coastal cities with sunny and hazy conditions in the afternoon and evening and localised thunderstorms in Yenegoa.
“Later in the day, thunderstorms are anticipated over Yenegoa, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Uyo, and Eket axis with day and night temperatures of 33 to 36 and 19 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Dust haze condition is anticipated over the Northern and central cities.
“However, partly cloudy skies are probable over the inland cities with slim prospects of localised thunderstorms over some parts of the coastal cities in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
