The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has predicted cloudy weather conditions with prospects of rainfall and thunderstorm activities over most parts of the country on Saturday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Friday in Abuja, predicted partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the central states with thunderstorms over Southern Adamawa, Jalingo, Ibi and Mambilla Plateau in the morning.
It also predicted thunderstorms later in the day over Makurdi, Abuja, Lokoja and Lafia with day and night temperatures of 25 to 34 and 15 to 24 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that Northern states would experience cloudy morning and thunderstorms over Sokoto and Yelwa axis with day and night temperatures of 30 to 38 and 22 to 24 degrees Celsius.
According to NiMet, Southern states will experience thunderstorms and rains throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures of 28 to 31oC and 21 to 24 degrees Celsius.
“There is consistent moisture influx into the country, the Northern and Central states are expected to be in partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with probability of thunderstorms over some cities in the region.
“Thunderstorms are anticipated over the Southern states in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
