‘SpiderMan: Brand New Day’ has grossed N1.6 billion at the West African box office, emerging as the third highest grossing film of all time in the region.
FilmOne Entertainment, the distributor of the movie, announced the milestone on its Instagram page, describing the performance as a record-breaking feat.
“N1.6 billion at the West African box office and now the 3rd highest grossing film of all time in West Africa,” the company said.
According to the distributor, the film is also the highest grossing movie of 2026 in the region and the highest grossing Hollywood film of all time in West Africa.
FilmOne thanked audiences across the region for their support and encouraged moviegoers to continue experiencing the film in cinemas.
The movie is currently showing in cinemas nationwide.
The film stars SpiderMan in a new adventure and is part of Marvel Studios’ long-running superhero franchise.
Its N1.6 billion box office performance further underscores the strong appetite for major Hollywood blockbusters among cinema audiences in West Africa.
The latest milestone also places the film among the region’s most successful theatrical releases, highlighting the continued growth and commercial potential of the West African cinema market.
