November 6, 2019 has been fixed as the date for the commencement of the trial of the convener of Revolution Now, Omoyele Sowore.

This was announced at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday as the bail condition granted him was reviewed.

Following the complaints that the bail he was given was too stringent, the Federal High Court in Abuja carried out a downward review of the conditions.

According to Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, the earlier condition that one of Sowore’s sureties should deposit N50million as security was reduced to N30 million.

She insisted that other conditions should remain.

She said Sowore was not allowed to participate in rallies, especially in view of the nature of the charges against him.

The case was adjourned till November 6 when the trial is billed to commence.

Sowore is facing a seven-count charge bordering on treasonable felony, money laundering and cyber crimes.

Recall that Sowore was arrested on August 3, 2019, following the protest said to be designed to wrest power from the government over alleged incompetence.
