President Muhammadu Buhari has called on veteran journalist and Fellow, Nigerian Guild of Editors, Mr. Olusoji Akinrinade to use his 45 years professional experience to groom and guide younger journalists.
The president said doing those would help make them to respect the tenets of the profession, and place high premium on ethics.
The president made the call on Tuesday while rejoicing with Akinrinade on his 70th birthday.
The president also rejoiced with the family, friends, and professional colleagues of the man popularly called ‘The General’ for his exploits in many media houses, including the News Agency of Nigeria, The Punch, Concord Press, and Newswatch, where he rose to become Editor-in-Chief.
He wished the septuagenarian good health, longer life, and greater contribution to the profession he loves.
