The attack on former Governor of Central Bank, CBN, Charles Soludo, has been described as the tragedy of “do or die politics” in Nigeria.

The Senator who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani, gave the description on Thursday in his reaction to the attack.

“Prayers for Soludo and condolences to the families of his aides who lost their lives. That is the tragedy of the do or die politics,” Sani said on his Twitter handle.

Soludo was attacked on Thursday during a campaign rally at a civic centre in Isuofia community in the Aguata local government area of Anambra.

Three policemen were reportedly killed in the incident.

Soludo is a top contender for the governorship seat on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

The election is billed to be held on November 6.

Meanwhile, one suspect was said to have been arrested by the police.
