The Nigeria Police Force has arraigned Senator Elisha Abbo (representing Adamawa North) for allegedly beating up a sales girl at a toy shop in Abuja.
The video recording which was made possible through the Close Circuit Television, CCTV, in the shop had gone viral and attracted condemnation of the senator’s action.
Abbo was arraigned on Monday at a Magistrate Court in Zuba area of Abuja.
It would be recalled that the police commenced investigation on the case on the order of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu.
Adamu ordered the arrest of the senator and his orderly.
The investigation was carried out by the Federal Capital Territory police.
