No fewer than eight ministerial nominees whose names were submitted along with others by President Muhammadu Buhari for approval will be screened by the Senate on Friday.
The President of the Senate, Dr. Ahmed Lawan, made this known on Thursday after the completion of the screening of 14 of the nominees.
The Senate started the screening on Wednesday.
Ten nominees were screened on Wednesday.
Lawan disclosed that those scheduled for screening on Friday are Goody Jeddy-Agba (Cross River); Dr Osagie Ehanire (Edo); Suleiman Adamu (Jigawa); Hadi Sirika (Katsina); Abubakar Malami (Kebbi); Gbemisola Saraki (Kwara); Mrs Paulen Talen (Plateau) and Muhammdu Dingyadi (Sokoto).
Those screened on Thursday are Senator Tayo Alasoadura (Ondo); Abubakar Aliyu (Yobe); Mustapha Shehuri (Borno); Retired Maj. Gen. Bashir Magashi (Kano); Mrs Zuibaru Dada (Niger) and Timipre Slyva (Bayelsa).
Also screened were Mrs Ramatu Aliyu (Kogi); Niyi Adebayo (Ekiti); Mohammed Abdullahi (Nassarawa),; Sunday Dare (Oyo); Muhammadu Bello (Adamawa); Sen. Chris Ngige (Anambra) and Sadiya Umar-Farouk (Zamfara).
