Security guard, two others arrested over missing N2.6m Sienna

The suspects

Three persons, one Milacasupl Jackson, and his alleged accomplices, Peter Alfons and Mustapha Usman, have been arrested over a missing Toyota Sienna car 2008 model valued at N2.6m.

They were caught while allegedly negotiating for a buyer for the car at Kurata mechanic village, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.

In a statement by the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana, the missing car was reported at Alausa Police Station by one Adeyankinnu Babajide on Wednesday.

He said that the car was discovered to be missing on December 9, 2019 at about 8.30 a.m. with the security guard, Jackson, who had the keys also not seen.

Babajide is the manager of Teeded Motors at plot 7 Fagba Close, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Toyota Sienna was recovered and handed over to the owner while the suspects were charged to Magistrate Court 12, Ogba and were remanded.

The case was adjourned to January 7, 2020.

Meanwhile, one Amodu Azeez, was arrested following a complaint by one Arinze Madeben.

Madeben reported that the suspect and two others at large blocked him on a motorcycle, pointed a gun at him and robbed him of his Nokia android phone and wallet.

The wallet was said to be containing the sum of N27,270.00.

The complainant was said to have raised an alarm which attracted anti-robbery men on early morning patrol.

The armed robbery suspects were pursued and the ring leader, Azeez Amodu, was arrested, while others escaped.

The stolen items were recovered from the suspect.

The motorcycle the suspects used for the robbery operation with registration number JBD 133 VY was also recovered.

Police also recovered a toy gun used by the suspects for the robbery.

Detectives are still on the trail of the suspects at large.
