Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando, has warned members of the public against the activities of fraudsters said to have used the name of the institution to open a bank account.
The provost of the institution, Mrs. Oyefunso Orenuga, gave the warning in a statement issued by the school’s Public Affairs Officer, Mrs. Folasade Adeniji, on Wednesday.
Orenuga warned that it had been discovered that a Sterling Bank account, with number 9012355013, had been opened by some unscrupulous persons to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
She therefore warned that no money should be paid into the “Sterling Bank account number 9012355013 on the online wallet with the name of Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando”
According to Orenuga, the account was opened by the fraudsters with the sole aim of defrauding unsuspecting candidates and individuals who wish to obtain the entrance form.
She reminded prospective candidates that admission into the College is now through JAMB and no longer by direct purchase of form in the College or online.
“So, beware of fraudsters by not paying into any account without the authority from the College,” she said.
