The General Overseer of End of Time Revival Gospel Church, Pastor Adegboyega Ajani, has called on world leaders at all levels to believe in the everlasting resurrection of Jesus Christ in order to bring about world peace.
The pastor made the call on Friday at an event in the church to mark World Peace Day.
The event which was held at the church’s headquarters situated at Olowora area of Lagos State has as its theme, “Build World Peace.”
Pastor Ajani said although the United Nations had made serious efforts to ensure peace and security across the world, not much had been achieved.
He said it was unfortunate that despite the efforts by the United Nation the world was yet to be peaceful.
He declared however that the only thing that could bring peace to the world was to believe in Jesus Christ who came with peace and tranquility:
“Jesus said peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 8 to verse 23 to 14 and 30),” he said.
Pastor Ajayi said further: “Some of the requirements of world peace are spiritual perfection, business, governance and economic perfections. If we have all these, the world and our country will be in perfect peace. We must develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for principle of equal rights and self determination of people. We must take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace.
“Through lies and deceits, the beast who is Satan rode on the back of eve and gained entrance into family of God, which was why today many people have taken to adultery, robbery, kidnapping, and other vices we are seeing in our society. In other words those who committed crime have shifted away from the love of Christ which amounts to the abandonment of harmonism, thereby, love for Satan.
“Since then, Satan has become the prince of the world. Only those who have everlasting covenant with Christ will have peace. Parents should also integrate their family into the family of God, which will also guarantee peace. I want to call on all nations that they must rise up and stand up together with Jesus Christ in his appearing in glory in order to bring about true peace. I pray peace reign in our country.”
Meanwhile, Pastor Isaac Agboola who was also present at the event said it was regrettable that people were not ready to submit to God.
Said he: “If you don’t have Jesus, you don’t have anything.
“The only way we could have peace in the world is only through Jesus Christ, the father to everyone. He said come to me and have peace.
“Many people are running after money and material things, but the only way out is to have Jesus, and that is the only everlasting peace. Whoever enters everlasting covenant with him, will also have peace.”
