Recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force has begun in Ogun State, the Public Relations Office of the state command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, has announced.
The exercise, he said followed the approval of the Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Adamu.
In a statement issued on Thursday, he urged interested indigenes of Ogun State who are eligible to take advantage of the opportunity.
The exercise will be on for six weeks.
The statement reads in part:
Applicants must have passion for a career in the Nigeria Police Force and must possess the following general requirements.
- Applicants must be Nigerian and indigene of Ogun State with valid National Identity Number (NIN)
- Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB which must include English and Mathematics.
- Applicants must be aged between 17-25yrs
- Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.67mm tall for male and 1.64m for female
- Applicants must be free from any pecuniary embarrassment.
- Applicants must print their completed online forms and submit the same at the examination screening and recruitment centers.
All applications must be submitted online. The online application will be opened for a period of 6 weeks starting from 14th July – 23rdof August 2020. The applicants that meet the requirements would be invited for physical screening from 24th August to 30th August 2020.
The names of successful candidates will be published in selected national newspapers and other platforms on the 14thSeptember 2020. To apply, applicants should visit the portal throughwww.policerecruitment.gov.ng .
The application is free and the Commissioner of Police has warned that any candidate who is involved in any form of monetary inducement will be disqualified and prosecuted.
