A renowned Ifa priest and Olu of Ibogun at Ibogun Coker in Ogun State, Oba Fakayode Adesina Faluade, has revealed the cause of coronavirus ravaging the world, according to Ifa, the oracle.
This is as he led the people of his community to appease the gods to stop the disease and its accompanying disaster.
The revelation, he said, was made when Ifa (oracle) was consulted over the cause of the disease and its cure.
The priest explained that it was revealed that the outbreak of the disease stemmed from a power tussle between two great gods – Elegbara and Obaluaye.
He said as a result of the clash, Obaluaye shot a poisonous arrow at Elegbara, a situation which led to the spread of the disease which brought about a calamity of high proportion in the name of coronavirus to the entire world.
The monarch noted that for the avoidance of further calamities, the nation’s leaders must appease their ‘Ori’ (divine selves).
The Ifa priest, who is a promoter of Ifa Olokun Festival, predicted that the disease would end if necessary appeasement were made.
The Ibogun monarch urged Nigerians to adhere strictly to the precautionary measures put in place by the different governments to prevent the spread of the disease.
He also praised the governments for their efforts.
