Presidency confirms burglary attempt at Buhari’ chief of staff’s residence

The Presidency, on Monday, confirmed that there was a burglary attempt at the residence of Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The incident which occurred at 3.00 a.m. Monday morning was described a “foolish attempt”.

It was said to be unsuccessful according to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, on his Twitter handle.

He quoted Gambari whose house is on a street next to the Villa as assuring that there was nothing to worry about the attempted burglary incident.

Shehu also disclosed that in a related development, the police, were already searching for a suspected burglar who unsuccessfully attempted to break into the house of Maikano Abdullahi on Thursday, last week.

Maikano lives on the same street with the Chief of Staff, close to the Villa.
