The Police in Kogi State on Tuesday paraded the suspected killers of the woman leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Salome Abuh.
Abuh was burnt to death in her residence on November 18 after the Kogi governorship election held on November 16.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Akeem Busari, who paraded the suspects, identified them as Ocholi Edicha, Adamu Haruna, Onu Egbunu, Musa Alidu, Attai Haruna and Attah Ejeh.
He said they were arrested on November 22 with the assistance of members of local vigilance group.
The Commissioner of Police said one of the suspects, Edicha, confessed to leading others to Abuh’s house and that they had been the ones behind robbery activities in the state.
Although the suspect said he was a robber, he said he was not responsible for the murder of Abuh.
The police have however said the killers of the PDP woman leader would be brought to book as he said investigation was still going on.
