Two suspects have been arrested by the police over the murder of a landlord and theft of his car, a Toyota Camry.
The two suspects who were arrested with the car at First Gate, Agboroko area of Iba in Lagos are identified as 38 years old Daniel Isaac and 36 years old Emmanuel Chukwu.
Isaac was described as the first suspect while Chukwu was said to be the accomplice.
Spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana, in a statement issued on Sunday explained that investigations revealed that the first suspect, Isaac, killed his landlord, one 50 years old Don Able from Rivers State and dumped the corpse in a well, inside his compound at Owodun Street in Ikotun area of Lagos State.
The suspects were arrested by a team of policemen on stop and search duty.
He said the suspects were escaping with the vehicle of the deceased when they were intercepted.
Their intention, it was gathered, was to sell the car.
They were said to have confessed to having committed the crime.
Homicide detectives from State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, Elkana said, were investigating the case.
He said the suspects would be charged to court.
