A notorious kidnap suspect has been arrested by the police in Katsina State.
The suspect, Magaji Gudaji, aged 30, is from Yandoka Village in Dayi area of Malumfashi Local Government.
Gudaji, according to Public Relations Officer of Katsina State Command, SP Gambo Isah, was arrested in connection with the threat to kidnap a businessman in Malumfashi area of Katsina State, if he failed to pay N2 million.
Upon arrest, the police said, an Itel mobile phone with the SIM card used to commit the offence was recovered from him.
Also recovered was the threat note the suspect wrote to the businessman.
Gudaji, the police said had confessed to committing the crime.
The police said they were still on the trail of other members of the kidnap group.
