Police arrest 18 years old over theft of N670,000 tithe, offerings

The Police have arrested one 18 years old Elikor Ehud over alleged case of stealing N670,000 being the proceeds of tithes and offerings of Divine Chosen Vine Ministry, Furniture Avenue, Ejigbo area of Lagos State.

Ehud’s arrest followed the report made by one Pastor Moses Nwoke of the church at Ejigbo Police Station, Lagos on September 30, 2019.

The theft of the tithes and offerings was said to have occurred after church service.

Ehud was said to have broken the wooden boxes placed on the alter and stolen the money.

Ehud was arrested on October 15, 2019.

The suspect, according to the spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana, had confessed to stealing the money from the church box.

He was also said to have mentioned one Lucky as his accomplice.

Efforts were said to going on to arrest Lucky.

The suspect, the police said, would be charged to court.
