Petition: How I won 2019 presidential election –Atiku

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2019 presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has submitted to the presidential election tribunal figures he claims to be the real results of votes he recorded against President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari is the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Atiku claimed that going by the figures on the server of INEC, he defeated Buhari by a margin of 1.6 million votes.

He said INEC server showed that he had 18,356,732 votes while Buhari recorded 16,741,430 votes.

These figures are against the final results declared by INEC which made Buhari the winner.

The figures announced by INEC put Buhari’s votes at 15,191,847 while Atiku’s votes are put at 11,262,978.

However, in its petition to the 2019 presidential election tribunal where he is challenging the victory of Buhari, Atiku gave a breakdown of the votes he said he recorded in the election which made him the winner of the election.

In it, he claimed to have won 21 states while Buhari won in 15 states of the federation.
