Work will soon resume on the construction of the Pen Cinema flyover in Agege area of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has assured.
He said contractors would soon be moblised to site to continue with the Pen Cinema bridge project.
The governor gave the assurance on Sunday while speaking with journalists when he inspected roads being rehabilitated by the Lagos State Public Works Corporation at Iju/Fagba.
The 1.4 kilometer flyover was started by the immediate past governor of the state, Akinwunmi Ambode in December 2017.
The completion date was November 2018.
He was however unable to deliver before he left office on May 29, 2019.
He could not realise his second term ambition as he did not win the nomination of his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, for a second term.
The governor gave further assurance that driving in Lagos would soon be a lot stressful as bad roads across the state would be rehabilitated.
He said once the Lagos Public Works Corporation ended its work around the Iju/Fagba area, it would proceed to other parts of the state.
He apologized to motorists for the inconvenience the ongoing rehabilitation work might cause them.
