The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will hold an emergency National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting on Tuesday.

Although the thrust of the emergency meeting was not made public, it is believed that it will border on matters arising from the postponement of the general election.

According to the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, who made the plan to hold the meeting public, the meeting would hold at party’s headquarters in Abuja.

The election was postponed on Saturday barely some hours before its commencement.

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, who made the announcement blamed the decision on logistics.

The postponement has since generated controversy.

On Monday, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, held a meeting its own meeting on developments from the postponement of election.

It was at the meeting that President Muhammadu Buhari vowed that any person that might cause chaos during the general election would be ruthlessly dealt with.

He said security agencies had been given an order to that effect.
