One Joy Muriyaro of 31 Olarenwaju Street Ejigbo, Lagos, has accused one 41 years old man, said to be a pastor, David Daniel, of rubbing anointing oil on her buttocks in the process of carrying out “spiritual cleansing” on her.
She said as he rubbed the oil on her buttocks, he masturbated.
Pastor Daniel has since been arrested by the police for indecent assault and remanded in Kirikiri Prison in Lagos following the complaints by the woman.
Daniel was said to have visited Muriyaro’s shop at 2 Ailegun Road, Ejigbo, Lagos, under the guise of being a prophet sent to her by God.
Daniel, according to the statement issued by the spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana, said Daniel told the woman she needed spiritual cleansing to overcome some problems which might include suffering from fibroid in future.
The said pastor was reported to have collected over N3,000 from the woman before carrying out the cleansing which involved rubbing anointing oil on her buttocks and masturbating.
The statement by Elkana reads:
“On 17/09/2019, at about 2045 hours, one Joy Muriyaro ‘f’ of No 31 Olarenwaju Street Ejigbo, Lagos, reported at Ejigbo Police Station, that One David Daniel ‘m’ 41 years of age came to her shop at No 2 Ailegun Road Ejigbo under the guise of being a prophet sent to her by God. That the said prophet claimed that he saw in a vision that she was having spiritual problems and had foreseen her having fibroid growth in her womb in the future.
“He collected three thousand and fifty naira (N3,050) cash from her and a bottle of perfume worth one thousand naira (N1000) for spiritual cleansing.
“She stated further that the suspect followed her to her house and ordered her to remove her clothes for him to rub anointing oil on her buttocks. She became apprehensive when she noticed that the suspect was masturbating when rubbing the anointing oil on her buttocks.
“The suspect was arrested and charged to court for Indecent Assault and remanded in Kirikiri Prison.”
