The National Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, in Oyo State, has congratulated Princess Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu, on her appointment as Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Diaspora to Governor Seyi Makinde.
The association in a statement signed by the Chairperson, Comrade Jadesola Ajibola, and Secretary, Comrade Stella Oyebanji, also commended Governor Makinde for appointing Sarumi-Aliyu, an outstanding woman as member of his cabinet.
“We are not surprised that His Excellency is appointing another woman; this is in fulfilment of his promise to run an all inclusive government in the state,” it said.
It disclosed that her antecedents as an astute woman and an entrepreneur par excellence, show that she would perform excellently well and would no doubt ensure that the state thrived as an investment driven one among others.
The association similarly expressed optimism that she would continue to be an agent of positive change.
“Oyo NAWOJ therefore appreciate His Excellency Governor Seyi Making while congratulating the new SSA, Mrs Bolanle Sarunmi and hopes she will put in her best to excel in her new assignment,” it stated.
