The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has sacked all the chairmen of local governments and local council development areas in the state.
The sack came some hours after he was inaugurated on Wednesday as the governor of Oyo State.
He took over from Abiola Ajimobi.
According to a statement by his Chief of Staff, Bisi Ilaka, the local government chairmen were directed to hand over to their Heads of Local Government Administration or the most senior directors in their local government areas and councils.
The governor also dissolved all boards and parastatals and corporations in the state.
Also, the governor placed embargo on all local and state government accounts until when further directives would be given.
