The immediate past Sunday Editor of Vanguard newspapers, Mr. Jide Ajani, has been appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor of Oyo State on Media.
The announcement was made in press statement issued by Governor Seyi Makinde’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa.
The appointment was with immediate effect.
Ajani, is a graduate of Mass Communication from Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta.
He also holds a Masters’ degree in Communication Studies from the University of Leicester, England.
Ajani who had worked in different media outfits including Reflection Magazine and The Sunday Magazine, TSM, became the Editor of Sunday Vanguard in December 2011.
He had served as the Politics Editor of the Vanguard newspapers between January 2000 and November 2008.
The statement reads in part: “Before rising to the position of Editor, Sunday Vanguard, he had worked at the defunct Reflections Magazine between 1987 and 1988 as well as The Sunday Magazine, TSM, where he was a Staff Writer between October 1991 and December 1992. ”
