A member of the House of Representatives, from Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Temitope Olatoye, has been shot dead.
Olatoye is popularly known as Sugar.
He was said to have been shot dead at Lalupon area of Lagelu local government area of the state when he was returning from Ibadan after the Governorship and House of Assembly election on Saturday.
He was rushed to the University College Hospital, UCH, in Ibadan after the incident, but was later confirmed dead.
The Public Relations Officer of UCH, Mr. Toye Akinrinola, who confirmed the incident said Olatoye died at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
He added that his family had been informed of the development.
