A thanksgiving service was held on Sunday for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his entourage for surviving the helicopter crash which occurred in Kabba area of Kogi State on Saturday.
Osinbajo was in the state in continuation of the Next Level programme of the Muhammadu Buhari administration when the helicopter conveying him and others crash landed.
Nobody was, however, hurt in the incident.
Speaking during the thanksgiving service held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of Grace, Lokoja, he said he was full of gratitude to God.
He said no amount of thanksgiving was enough to praise God for saving his life and those on his entourage during the crash.
He said he thanked God for averting what would have been a breaking news in local and international media.
His words: “No amount of thanksgiving and praises to God would be enough for saving my life and nine crew on board.
“God is the one who can do all things, and only Him can take the glory; we return the glory to him.
“We are here to say thank you, thank you JESUS. We bless his name forever and ever.”
He also thanked everyone that had shown concern, and prayed God to continue to guard the nation as it moved to the Next Level.
“All I have to say is that we are grateful and we are moving to the next level; the Lord will uphold us to the next level and Kogi will be number one,” he said.
