“Continue to share knowledge and experience with the younger generation of journalists.”
This is the charge given by President Muhammadu Buhari to the President/Chief Executive Officer of The Crest Publishing and Entertainment Company Limited, Mr. Shola Oshunkeye.
The president gave the charge on Monday in a message to felicitate with Oshunkeye who turns 65 on Tuesday.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the president praised Oshunkeye for his professional strides.
Oshunkeye won CNN African Journalist of the Year 2006, and spent over three decades with media houses like Concord Press, where he rose to edit the then best-selling Weekend Concord.
He was also an Associate Editor at TELL Magazine, editor of The Spectator, a publication of The Sun Publishing Limited, and Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Sun Ghana.
President Buhari also rejoiced with the Oshunkeye family, the media fraternity, and all those who celebrated the journalist of repute, who also won the Nigerian Media Merit Award Best Print Journalist laurel in 1996.
