The All Progressives Congress, APC, will comply with the court order suspending its national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

This declaration was made on Wednesday by the Acting National Secretary of the party, Victor Giadom, while speaking with journalists at the secretariat of the party.

Said he: “The most important thing is that the party is going to respect the court order.”

He however added that the National Working Committee, NWC, of the party would meet over the order of the court.

A Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court ordered the suspension of Oshiomhole as the national chairman of the party on Wednesday.

The suspension is to remain pending the determination of a substantive suit.

The suspension order was given by Justice Danlami Senchi following an application to that effect by one Oluwale Afolabi.

Afolabi in his application argued that Oshiomhole had no claim to the chairmanship of the party since he had been suspended as a member of the party at the state level.

Oshiomhole, it would be recalled, was suspended by the party’s state chapter, a development which ignited the fire of crisis in the party.

Announcing his suspension, the court declared that Oshiomhole should stop carrying on as the chairman of the APC.

It also directed that Oshiomhole should not be allowed access to the secretariat of the party.
