The trial of former Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ayodele Oke, and his wife, Folashade, could not hold on Friday as planned.
The two persons were not available in court.
Oke and his wife are facing charges of involvement in the stashing away of a huge sum of money in an apartment in Osborne Tower, Ikoyi Lagos.
The money – $43 million, £27,000 and N23 million – were discovered in April 2017.
Following the alleged scam, a panel headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was set up to investigate the case and Ayodele Oke was indicted.
Oke was, as a result, fired by President Muhammadu Buhari in October 2017.
Although no official reason was given for the absence of the two persons in court, they were gathered to be out of the country on medical ground.
The case which was by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, was expected to hold in Lagos.
