The Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, has dismissed a no-case application filed by the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Walter Onnoghen.
The Chairman of the CCT, Danaladi Umar, ordered that Onnoghen should enter his defence on the next adjourned date, Monday, April 1, 2019.
Onnoghen in the no-case application urged the court to dismiss the case of non-declaration of assets against him.
His reason was that the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, did not adopt the accepted procedure in making the charges against him.
The CCT was however unimpressed stating that the said faulty procedure was a mere internal communication flaw.
