The Committee of Provosts in Nigeria has appointed Associate Professor, Nosiru Olajide Onibon, as the Editor-In-Chief of its Academic Journal.
Onibon is the Provost of Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, MOCPED, Noforija, Epe in Lagos State.
Onibon expressed excitement about the new appointment on his Facebook page, describing it as a call to service.
His words: “The Committee of Provosts in Nigeria, at its just concluded meeting on Thursday in Abuja, appointed me the Editor-in-Chief of its Academic Journal. Another call to service, may God put me through. Amen.”
Born on October 13, 1967, Onibon attended Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School Epe (1974-1980), and later went to Alaro Community High School, Iraye-Oke also in Epe (1980-1985).
He bagged his first degree in Arts, Arabic Language and Literature from the Lagos State University (1992).
His M.Sc is in International Relations (1998) and Arabic Language Studies (2000) from the University of Ibadan and Lagos State University respectively.
He also has a PhD in Arabic Language Studies from the International Islamic University, Malaysia and has published many research publications and books.
