Ondo: NYSC pays tribute as Corps Member Ibrahim Olalekan is buried

The remains of a youth Corps Member, lbrahim Olalekan (OD/18C/1199), have been interred in Akure, Ondo State capital according to Islamic rites.

This as the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, paid tribute to him.

Olalekan died on Saturday on his way back from INEC duties at Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The Accountancy graduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, hailed from Ogun State.

Until his death, he served at Herald of Hope Group of Schools, Ojuala in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, at the burial.

The governor commended Olalekan for his patriotism.

The State Coordinator of the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, Mrs. Grace Akpabio, who represented the Director of NYSC, Major General Sulaiman Zakari Kazaure, staff and Corps Members expressed heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the departed compatriot.

“We pray that Almighty Allah repose his soul and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss,” she said.
