The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora Affairs, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, and Ajia Balogun Olubadan, Adegboyega Adegoke, have congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, on the occasion of his 92 years birthday.
Akande-Sadipe represents Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
In separate statements, they wished Olubadan long life and good health.
Said Akande-Sadipe: “I join well-meaning Nigerians, Oyo State Government, the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency and Ibadan indigenes home and abroad to salute our royal father….
“Kabiyesi, as you begin the journey into another year, I wish you long life in sound health and the strength to lead.”
In a similar vein, Adegoke lauded the visionary and purposeful leadership of the Olubadan at 92.
He noted that Oba Adetunji had successfully carried on with the legacies of his forefathers, “dating back to the 16th century, with an intentional focus to uphold the beautiful traditions of hospitality, respect for authorities and communal development that has always defined the throne.’’
He also extolled the royal father for his maturity and wise counsels to leaders and indigenes alike, advising the younger generation on the path of good education and entrepreneurship.
