Olawuyi to be presented as Archbishop of Lagos Methodist Church

The newly consecrated Archbishop of Lagos Methodist Church, Nigeria, Dr. Isaac Ayobami Olawuyi, will be formally dedicated and presented to the congregation of the Archdiocese of Lagos and the entire religious faithful, globally, on Thursday.

The presentation will be done by the Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Sunday Chukwuemeka Kanu Uche, at the Wesley Cathedral, Olowogbowo, Lagos, during the morning devotion thanksgiving service.

According to the Public Relations Officer, Lagos Archdiocese, Methodist Church, Nigeria, Mr. Aramide Tola Noibi, the newly consecrated Lay President, Archbdiocese of Lagos, Sir Peter Olorunifemi, as well as his Diocese of Lagos counterpart, Sir Gbolahan Olayomi, will also be formally dedicated and presented respectively at the event.

Their presentation will be by the Archbishop of Lagos, after his dedication and presentation by the Prelate.

Dr. Olawuyi will then deliver his maiden sermon at the event.

The event is expected to be very well attended by eminent personalities from all walks of life and other religious faithful across the nation and abroad.

It would be recalled that Dr. Olawuyi was the foremost Presbyter, Ereko Methodist Church, Lagos Circuit, before being transferred to Hoare’s Memorial Methodist Church Cathedral, Herbert Macaulay Street, Sabo Yaba Lagos, after the demise of the Late Cadmus.

He was elevated to establish the Diocese of Lagos West as the founding Bishop at Palm Avenue, Mushin, Lagos.

He was later transferred back to the Hoares Memorial Methodist Church Cathedral, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, in appreciation of his immeasurable success to put the Dioceses, Lagos West, on a very sound footing.

Dr. Olawuyi is an astute scholar and a distinguished administrator who is determined to expand God’s ministry to the highest level at all times.
