A 22 years old lady (name withheld) has disclosed to the police how she was allegedly gang-raped by her boyfriend and his friend in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The two suspects who have been arrested by the police in Ogun State for committing the crime are Seun Orokunle (38) and Sarumi Sodiq (28).
The crime was reported to have been committed at Eleweran area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The arrest of the suspects, according to the spokesman of the police command in Ogun State, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, followed a complaint lodged at the Public Complaints Bureau at Eleweran by the victim.
She stated that she visited Seun Orokunle who happened to be her boyfriend in his house.
According to her, on getting there, she went to the bathroom to take her bath unknown to her that his boyfriend, Seun Orokunle, had invited his friend, Sarumi Sodiq, who came straight to meet her in the bathroom, dragged her out.
She said the two of them took turn to have sex with her after beating her thoroughly.
She said after satisfying themselves, Seun Orokunle took her clothes and dipped it in a bucket of water in order to prevent her from leaving the house immediately.
She stated further that the duo, who claimed to be cult members threatened to kill her if she dared report them to anyone.
Upon the report, the Officer in Charge, Public Complaint Bureau, DSP Badmus Opeyemi, detailed his men to go after the two suspects in order to bring them to book.
They were eventually traced to Aregba area of Abeokuta where the two of them were apprehended.
They were said to have both confessed to the commission of the crime.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
