The Ogun State House of Assembly has passed a resolution suspending all the traditional rulers appointed between February 2019 and May 28, 2019.

The resolution was passed on Friday.

The appointments made by Amosun as he was getting set to leave office, were said to have caused a crisis in Aworiland.

The Awori people of the state had complained that non-indigenes were being appointed as traditional rulers in their land.

In the same vein, the House of Assembly suspended all Local Council Areas and Local Council Development Areas political appointees.

The legislature said the action was to allow a probe into  alleged gross misconduct and misappropriation of public funds against them.

The local governments and local council development areas, the legislature directed, should hand over the affairs of the institutions.

They have also been directed to appear before the assembly on June 7, 2019.
