Awori Day 2019 will be celebrated in the United States today.
The event is organised by the Coalition of Aworis And Descendants in Diaspora, CANDID.
Designed to further promote the cultural heritage of the Awori, Awori Day will see the coming together of many indigenes of the kingdom.
The Awori are found in Ogun and Lagos State, South West of Nigeria.
The Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege, his wife, Olori Olohuntoyin Obalanlege, and other monarchs and chiefs from Awori Kingdom will be present at the occasion.
The event will take place at Dream Place Banquet Hall 11225, Bissonnet Street, Houston, Texas.
