Nigeria’s first coronavirus patient, the Italian who came to the country from Milan, and has been in isolation, may be discharged next week going by his improvement.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, made this known on Friday when giving update on his situation.
This is as he also disclosed that the second coronavirus case was already testing negative.
He said the first patient would be closely monitored till next week.
His words: “The index case is clinically stable and is much improved.
“Stable progress until next week will guide the medical team in discharging him.”
Speaking on the second case, he said: “The contact of the index case is testing negative for the virus now, meaning he has cleared the virus and will be allowed to go home.”
