Nigeria vs Ghana: FG mobilises support for Eagles, closes offices 1 p.m.

The federal government has directed all offices to close by 1 p.m. today in order to give support to the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The Super Eagles will do battle with the Black Stars of Ghana in Abuja in continuation of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier today.

The match will be played at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, by 6 p. m.

The directive is contained in a circular dated March 28, 2022, and signed by Dr Ngozi Onwudiwe, Permanent Secretary (Service Welfare Office), Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, HOCSF.

The circular reads: “As you are aware, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be meeting the Black Stars of Ghana in continuation of the 2022 FIFA World-Cup Qualifier, Playoff, (Return Leg).

“There is a need to mobilise support for the Nigerian team.

“Consequently, I am directed to inform you that all offices will be closed at 1.00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29.”
