The Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE, has commended the government of Delta State for the impressive development of infrastructure and human capital in the state.
The commendation was given in a letter of appreciation signed by the President, Funke Egbemode and General Secretary, Victoria Abang, to the state government for its support in the hosting of the 14th All Nigeria Editors’ Conference in Asaba.
No fewer than 300 editors and guests from across the country attended the conference.
“Your support, no doubt, ensured a very successful outing for the Guild and the over 300 editors and guests from different parts of the country who attended the conference. It is gratifying to note that the event also afforded members of the Guild the opportunity to see first impressive achievements of your government in the areas of infrastructural and human capital development in the last three years,” the Guild said.
The Guild called on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to ensure free and fair elections devoid of violence in the state.
