The Nigerian Army has declared that the Nigerian Army Vehicle Manufacturing Company, NAVMC, refurbished Armored Fighting Vehicles, AFVs, will serve as game changer in the fight against insurgency.
This, the Nigerian Army said, was because the vehicles would serve as force multipliers in the theatre of operations and increase the tempo of the attack.
The vehicles are to support the operation of Operation Lafiya Dole.
Some of the newly refurbished AFVs of both wheeled and tracked variants are said to be fully fitted with advanced communications equipment, gun mounds and sophisticated weapon systems.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai on Saturday commissioned NAVMC and the take off of the production of the prototype of the light and heavy infantry vehicles at Rigachikun, Kaduna State.
The event also featured facility tour of Nigerian Army Vehicles Manufacturing Company production line, which include NAC-V production line, B vehicles assembly plant, Fitter machine plant, Engine overhaul shop, Engine testing bay, Fabrication, Painting and Spray shop as well as Foundary and Metal Smith shop.
Buratai also commissioned some refurbished A and B vehicles and other equipment resuscitated by the NAVMC.
