NANS commends Ogun Police over arrest of abductors of OOU students

The Joint Campus Committee of the National Association of Nigeria Students has commended the Ogun State Police Command for the prompt arrest of abductors of their colleagues in Ayetoro campus of Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU.

The students body gave the commendation during their courtesy visit to the office of the Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun, on Friday.

The students, led by the JCC chairman, Damilola Kehinde Simeon, expressed their satisfaction on the performance of the police in the state, describing the CP as a complete policeman.

The students also applauded the prompt action taken by the command against the policemen who extorted the sum of N153000 from a student of Lagos State University, noting that the action had rekindled their hope in the Nigeria Police Force.

The Commissioner of Police, while thanking the students assured them of the command’s readiness to partner with them and other critical stakeholders to rid the state of crime and criminality.

The Ogun police boss appealed to them to always take the issue of security very serious, so as not to fall victim of hoodlums looking for easy prey.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of excellent award to the CP, which was done by the state NLC chairman, Mr. Bankole Emmanuel, on behalf of the students body.
