MOCPED shines at French Language international competition

MOCPED wins

Students of Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, MOCPED, Noforija, Epe, Lagos State, Nigeria, came second at the French International Competition held at the Centre for French Training and Documentation.

The competition is tagged: “La Semaine de la Francophone” to mark the world “Francophone” week.

March 20 of every year is celebrated throughout the world in countries where French is spoken as “Journee de La francophonie”.

“La Francophonie” is the French version of the English “commonwealth”

In commemoration of the day, Alliance Francaise, lbadan in collaboration with CFTD organised a week programme of event from Monday 18th March to Friday 22nd March 2019.

The competition for Colleges of Education was held on Friday, March 22, 2019 and divided into Quiz and Debate Competition.

MOCPED came second in the debate category.

The Provost of the College, Dr Nosiru Olajide Onibon, while congratulating the college on the laudable achievement, attributed the success to hard work and dedication on the part of both lecturers and students of the college.

He said the college had witnessed tremendous improvement in the last one year and the performance at the competition showed that MOCPED students were really achieving in their academic pursuit.

He therefore implored them to continue with the spirit of academic excellence.

Dr Onibon said that he was currently enjoying the dedication, faithfulness and hard work of all members of staff resulting in the development of the college both physically and academically.

The Provost then enjoined staff and students to continue to work hard to sustain the good work in order to continue to take the college to a higher height.
